Senior Management Accountant - up to £60,000
Location: Wirral | Contract: Temporary to Permanent | Office-Based
Our client, a well-established organisation based on the Wirral, is seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and versatile professional to support the finance team in a predominantly office-based role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general support across the Management Accounts function.
• Fixed Asset and Depreciation Maintenance.
• Management of Right of Use Assets and maintenance of Lease/HP Schedules.
• Cover and support for the Sales Ledger, including posting payments to accounts and allocation.
• Undertake account reconciliations as required.
• Remittance checking and reconciliation before payments are received.
• Provide cover for additional accounting functions, including Purchase Ledger, Credit Control, and assistance with invoicing tasks.
• Complete Balance Sheet Reconciliations, including Bank Reconciliations.
• Prepare Nominal Journals, Accruals, and Prepayments.
• Conduct Accounts Analysis and prepare Statistical Returns.
• Support Margin Reporting and Monthly Reconciliation of Invoice Discounting.
• Perform Vehicle Maintenance Analysis.
• Handle ad hoc tasks as required.
• Provide support to the Finance Manager, Financial Controller, and Finance Director.

About You

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of management accounts processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
• A proactive approach, with the flexibility to support various accounting functions as needed.
