The Role

As a Commercial Finance Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving the company's financial success. You'll work closely with key departments like Merchandising, E-commerce, and Marketing, providing strategic financial guidance, gross margin analysis, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead gross margin analysis by product category to drive profitability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies that maximise profitability
• Optimise product assortments through collaboration with Merchandising and Product Development teams, focusing on margin contributions and market trends.
• Work closely with Production to manage costs, improve sourcing strategies, and enhance supply chain efficiencies.
• Assess the financial impact of promotional activities and markdowns, developing strategies to minimise margin dilution.
• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for gross margin targets, and provide insights to senior management.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within e-commerce or retail.
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent Excel modelling skills.
• Data-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in fast-paced environments, with a hands-on attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and SQL is advantageous.
