Accountable Recruitment is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our growing client based in Knowsley on an FTC basis until March, 2024. As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping, including VAT returns. This is an immediate start position, and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running without.
- Manage all bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, including calculating wages, deductions, and tax payments.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with the accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, including knowledge of VAT returns and payroll.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience working in a small business is preferred.
- A relevant qualification in bookkeeping or accounting is desirable, but not essential.
Duration: 6 Months
Salary: Circa £35,000 DOE
