Senior Financial Accountant // 6 - 8 Months FTC // Hybrid role with an immediate start available in Liverpool // Up to £60,000

The role is responsible for the delivery of financial accounting and capital accounting activity across the Group. The role will provide leadership and direction to both the Financial Accounting and Capital Accounting teams in all aspects of their work. The duties of the role include:

• Review all balance sheet reconciliations performed by the Financial Accounting and Capital Accounting teams ensuring they are completed effectively and in accordance with specified timetables
• Work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager to ensure accurate and relevant information is provided for Group balance sheet reporting.
• Lead the provision of all financial accounting activity for the Group and manage the month end process ensuring journals are processed in accordance with specified timetables.
• Manage a team of qualified accountants. Actively coach and manage the performance of individuals, to achieve the stated objectives.
• Supervise and support the training and development of the Financial Accounting team.
• Deputise for and support the Head of Group Financial Accounting and Control as and when
  required to ensure continued effective leadership across the service.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining robust accounting policies for the Financial Accounting and Capital Accounting teams, ensuring compliance with FRS's, SORP, IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Devise, implement and review financial accounting processes and procedures ensuring compliance and adherence to statutory and regulatory frameworks and Group accounting policies.
• Work closely with the Financial Controls Manager to ensure effective auditing of the Group financial ledgers including implementing and maintaining financial controls.
• Responsible for the financial accounting activity for the Group's joint venture arrangements. Provide technical accounting advice and support to the Development Finance team to prepare accounting papers and provide technical accounting advice as required to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies.
