Job Title: Senior Commercial Manager
Salary: Between £80,000 - £90,000
Location: Warrington
Site Based: 5 days in office with potential 1 day working from home

Accountable Recruitment are working with a PE backed Telecommunications company based in Warrington for a Senior Commercial Manager to join their expanding team.

As Senior Commercial Manager you will have full access to the P&L and be responsible for the Northwest Region. You will work extremely closely with the Commercial Director and will be responsible for a small team.

Key day to day duties will include:

  • Responsible for the contracting process from Bid Management through to In-Life review
  • Establish good communication and working relationships effectively with all stakeholders
  • Full understanding of the clients resourcing and investment plans, feeding this back into the business with regular forecasts
  • Point of contact for both sides on any disputes, claims and charging issues
  • Provide regular briefings on client developments, bringing them in if needed
  • Consistently vigilant over the performance of the contract, ensuring the requirements are met and all services are properly invoiced
  • Produces flash reports reviewing performance
  • Manage the commercial audit process to test sample invoices before they are sent to clients, and invoices that have been received from suppliers requesting payment
  • Regularly attends meetings with the external client to discuss, question and understand their full requirements
  • Negotiate and agree service and sales contracts with clients including price and terms with clients procurement team
  • Represents the business in regular commercial contract reviews with clients, proposing new opportunities to extend the scope of the contract to improve profitability and strengthen the relationship with the client
  • Negotiate service and performance contracts with suppliers and formalise price and payment terms
  • Follow effective risk management by ensuring the correct risk levels are included in the financials
  • Analyse risk and reward requirements in the contract terms - focusing specifically on the service regime, penalties and liquidates damages
  • Presents the bid to key decision makers and has full support of the business at sign off

The successful candidate will have an extensive background in Commercial finance managing quantity surveyors and managing the bidding process for new and existing contracts from start to finish.

This role would ideally suit individuals that have had previous experience managing a team and are looking for progression and a mentor to guide them through the next stage of their career.
