Financial Controller
Denbigh
£60,000 - hybrid working and excellent pension

A rapidly expanding business based in Denbigh is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join them on a permanent basis to help the business grow and develop the finance team.

The business is looking for a strong leader who can play a key role in supporting the future growth of the company, is adaptable to respond quickly in an ever-changing environment.

Managing a team of 5 staff, you will be a crucial part of the Executive team looking at continuous programmes of development. In-depth knowledge of commercial finance is required, along with accounting principles and best practice.
Ability to provide various financial reports to enable strategic decision making and to ensure accountability at all levels.
Experience of financial forecasting, financial analysis and planning, implementing control measures, setting targets with large budgets and strong project management skills to plan and deliver change.

This business is looking for someone who will be a key player in the executive team and make an impact in the business going forward.

As Financial Controller your role will involve:

  • Managing and leading a Finance team of 5 staff
  • Be an active member of the Executive Team, advising the Managing Director and the Executive team on all financial matters, ensuring the Company is working towards long term financial goals.
  • Be responsible, accountable and provide overall control for all financial aspects of the Company's strategy.
  • Providing leadership for the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the Company's cash management policies
  • Challenging decision-making and providing financial analysis on KPIs
  • Financial planning, modelling, forecasting, budgeting, accounting and all related monitoring and analysis.
  • Prepare the Company's monthly management accounts.
  • Produce required reports including the Company's Annual Report & Account
  • Plan and ensure submission of the Company's core tax submissions in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for all Treasury management matters.
  • Be responsible for Capital expenditure
