Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, international business based in Manchester who are seeking to appoint an experienced Group Financial Controller to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave.

Salary/benefits:

Job Duties:

  • Take ownership of all aspects of group financial control, including monthly reporting, consolidation and statutory accounts.

  • Manage and develop a small finance team, ensuring delivery of accurate and timely information.

  • Lead on budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.

  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support the leadership team in strategic decision making.

  • Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place to support rapid international growth.

  • Liaise with external auditors, banks and other stakeholders.

  • Support the owner-manager with commercial input and scenario planning.

  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting and processes.

Ideal experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).

  • Significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance role, ideally Group Financial Controller level.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including consolidations and statutory reporting.

  • Experience in high-growth and/or international businesses.

  • Commercially astute with the ability to provide strategic input to senior stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage and develop a finance team.

  • Excellent systems knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the resilience to work in a fast-paced environment.
