Financial Accountant

Location: Liverpool
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + excellent benefits + discretionary bonus

We are delighted to be supporting a thriving, high-growth business in their search for a Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified accountant to join a dynamic Group Finance team and play a key role in driving accurate and timely financial reporting.

This position offers exceptional career progression, with exposure to senior stakeholders including the Group FD and CFO. Based at the business's Liverpool headquarters, you'll be joining an ambitious finance function within a company that continues to go from strength to strength.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monthly consolidation process and preparation of the Group board pack.

• Assist with the production of preliminary and interim Group accounts.

• Prepare statutory accounts for multiple UK entities.

• Partner with subsidiaries to monitor performance, working capital, and cash flow.

• Lead on IFRS 16 lease accounting.

• Support with Group tax computations and covenant calculations.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders.

• Contribute to ad-hoc projects such as refinancing and group restructures.

• Support wider statutory and compliance requirements as needed.

About You

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA newly qualified, or a finalist nearing completion.

• At least 3 years' experience in audit, statutory reporting, or management accounts.

• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.

• Organised, proactive, and confident working to deadlines.

• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, IF statements, etc.).

• Keen to learn and progress in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
