Based in Skelmersdale, you will work a hybrid model.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced part qualified or QBE Management Accountant looking to take on a busy and hands-on Management Accountant role with a real opportunity to add value.

Job Duties:
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts including analysis and commentary
- Gathering and analysing trends within an organisation's finances
- Putting together reports for senior leaders
- Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
- Advising on finance-related decisions
- Developing and managing financial systems/policies.
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
- Measuring the company's financial performance based on financial records
- Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed
- Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
- Be aware of, and understand cost implications on the business. Assist in opportunities to reduce cost and drive efficiencies
- Understand and participate in group initiatives. Identify potential future opportunities for improvement.
Ideal experience
- Proven experience as management accountant, accounting supervisor or similar role
- Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
- Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A problem-solver with attention to detail\
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience of ERP systems and databases useful
- Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
