Accountable Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established, family-owned manufacturing group based in Deeside. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Accountant to enhance their finance function at their Deeside site.

This is a key role focused on improving costing and reporting processes, alongside managing the day-to-day financial operations and reporting activities.

The position is ideal for a proactive Management Accountant or a seasoned Financial Controller who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys collaborating with operational teams, and is passionate about embedding strong financial processes while delivering clear, data-led insights to support business decision-making.

  • Full time on site, 8am-4.30pm Monday-Thursday, 7.30am-1pm Fridays (some flexibility with hours if required)

Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and site financial reports
  • Lead weekly job-costing and other key metrics on site performance
  • Review daily, weekly and monthly job-costing data to ensure accuracy
  • Investigate and explain variances to management, driving corrective actions
  • Work closely with external teams on stock management and reporting
  • Manage the fixed-asset register, support investment business cases and conduct periodic physical audits
  • Support month-end/year-end close, budgeting, forecasting and audit preparation
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Champion process improvement across all areas of responsibility

Experience:

  • Experience as a cost / factory / management accountant in a manufacturing environment
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE with strong cost-accounting expertise
  • Proven ability to analyse variances, explain performance drivers and influence non-finance stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and inventory control
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the confidence to drive change independently
