Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a well-established, Liverpool based professional services business who are seeking to appoint an interim Financial Controller to join their finance team on a 3-6 month temp-to-perm basis

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly technical, detail-oriented financial reporting specialist to join a fast-paced and evolving business.

Salary / Day Rate:

  • Up to £500 per day (DOE)

  • 3-6 month interim contract (Temp-to-Perm)

  • Hybrid Working (must be based in the North West)

Job Duties:

  • Lead the production and consolidation of monthly group management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow statements.

  • Produce and present MI packs with key financial metrics, variance analysis and insight.

  • Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies to maintain data integrity.

  • Oversee the development of cash flow forecasting models and monitor actuals vs forecasts.

  • Manage payroll approvals and bonus accruals.

  • Ensure compliance with VAT, corporation tax, P11d, PSA and other reporting obligations.

  • Lead on the preparation of annual statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.

  • File statutory documents with Companies House.

  • Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests to support leadership decision-making.

  • Line manage a small finance team and contribute to their professional development.

Ideal Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

  • Strong background in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit processes

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and up-to-date understanding of UK reporting standards

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Advanced Excel and experience working with ERP systems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a small team
