Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Fully Remote (UK) - need to be located in Northwest for occasional office attendance
Reporting to: Finance Director
Direct Report: Finance Assistant
The Company
A growing software and technology business headquartered in the North West of England, delivering innovative solutions to clients across the UK.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance function and support the Finance Director in delivering accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and commercial insight.
This is a broad and hands-on role, offering responsibility across management accounting, cash flow management, payroll and transactional finance, whilst supervising a Finance Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
* Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including performance analysis and commentary.
* Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and oversee month-end close activities.
* Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
* Manage cash flow forecasting and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Oversee the purchase ledger function, ensuring efficient processing and control of supplier payments.
* Manage the payroll process and ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements.
* Support the Finance Director with financial planning, analysis and business decision-making.
* Develop and improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
* Supervise and support the Finance Administrator.

Candidate Profile
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
* Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role.
* Strong management accounts and month-end reporting experience.
* Sound understanding of payroll, balance sheet control and cash flow management.
* Proactive, organised and comfortable working within a remote environment.
* Strong systems and Excel skills.
