Finance Manager
Location: Knutsford
Salary: Up to £45,000
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week in the office

The Opportunity
A well-established and growing business based in Knutsford is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across financial management, reporting, business partnering and operational finance.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be the key finance contact for the business, providing support across financial reporting, cashflow management, process improvement and operational performance analysis. There is potential for this position to become a permanent appointment for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
* Full ownership of the monthly management accounts process from preparation through to presentation of results to management.
* Production of weekly KPI reporting, including analysis and discussion with operational stakeholders and senior management.
* Preparation of weekly accounts receivable and cashflow reporting.
* Allocation and reconciliation of customer receipts.
* Oversight of customer invoicing processes and management of non-invoiced revenue.
* Management of supplier purchase orders, including subcontractor spend and costs.
* Raising and managing purchase orders for non-operational expenditure and intercompany recharges.
* Completion of bank reconciliations.
* Responsibility for credit control activities, including debt reviews, customer account management and cash collection support.
* Providing guidance and support across accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
* Production of ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
* Identification and implementation of process improvements to drive efficiency and support business growth.
* Supporting the wider finance function with additional projects and operational initiatives as required.
About You

You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant position.
* Experience producing monthly management accounts.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* Experience of improving financial processes and controls.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* A professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is desirable, although qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
