Assistant Management Accountant

As Assistant Management Accountant, you'll become a key member of the finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting while gaining exposure across management accounts, treasury, payroll, reporting and business operations.

This is a broad role that offers excellent development opportunities, allowing you to build your technical knowledge while working alongside experienced finance professionals.

What you'll be doing

You'll play an important role in supporting the month-end reporting cycle and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and assisting with the month-end close process.

• Preparing financial journals, cost allocations and intercompany transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Producing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies.

• Supporting payroll accounting, including payroll cost analysis and associated financial postings.

• Assisting with cash management activities, bank reconciliations and cashflow reporting.

• Helping prepare VAT returns and supporting other statutory and group reporting requirements.

• Monitoring and reconciling key control accounts across sales and purchase ledgers.

• Managing finance queries through shared inboxes and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

• Assisting with treasury administration, including payment processing and governance checks.

• Supporting audit requests and providing information for both internal and external reviews.

• Contributing to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance finance processes.

• Playing an active role in business projects, systems improvements and integration activities as the business continues to grow.
