About the Role

As a Financial Analyst, you will support informed decision‑making by providing high‑quality financial reports, performance analysis, and clear commercial insights. You'll contribute to both operational effectiveness and longer‑term planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Monitor weekly performance metrics, identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Produce monthly cost centre reporting and provide commercial insights to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting commentary.
  • Contribute to developing a detailed quarterly reporting pack for strategic review.
  • Analyse payroll data to support workforce planning and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct financial evaluations of investment proposals and post‑project reviews.
  • Perform competitor benchmarking and broader market analysis where relevant.
  • Support the statutory accounts process, including schedules and audit liaison.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

Skills & Experience Required

  • At least 2 years' experience in a financial analysis or management accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of reporting cycles, cost centre analysis, and management accounts.
  • Experience working with large datasets and identifying meaningful insights.
  • Exposure to audit processes and statutory accounts preparation is beneficial.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and visualisation.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, commercially aware approach.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable explaining financial information to non‑finance teams.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with SAGE 200 is advantageous but not essential.
