The Role
As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial information, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring strong financial control across housing services and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
Business partnering with housing and operational managers
Budget setting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
Monitoring rental income, service charges, and void performance
Supporting development appraisal and scheme viability analysis
Assisting with grant accounting and compliance reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations and oversight of accruals and prepayments
Cash flow forecasting and treasury support
Supporting year-end processes and external audit requirements
Identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and performance improvements
Producing KPI and performance reports for senior management
About You
Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience
Strong experience in management accounting or finance analysis
Previous experience within the housing, social housing, or property sector is highly desirable
Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders
Strong Excel and financial systems skills
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
